Athlete Guide

The Adirondack Sports Council (ADKSC) proudly presents the 12th annual Wilmington Whiteface MTB. This exciting race is hosted in the heart of Wilmington, New York — known for its growing trail network and beautiful mountain scenery.

Please remember that the Town of Wilmington, ADKSC, and the entire local community do a lot of work to prepare the course and offer a first-class racing experience. We thank you for being courteous and doing your part to keep the venue and the Adirondacks clean.

Packet pick-up and parking will take place under the pavilion at Preston Field on Springfield Rd. Race start and Race Day Packet Pick-up and finish line festival will be at the Wilmington Ball Park on Park Ln.

Course pre-ride & Pre Race Meeting with Patrick Carey

A preview ride of the start and finish portions of the course, including the Hardy Road singletrack. This is a mellow ride that will take about an hour. The pre-ride will be led by Coach Patrick Carey, a two-time 50K winner and six-time 100K finisher, who lives and trains in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Patrick is a Master Coach and founder of Speed Science. Before and after the ride, Patrick will be available for questions related to the event, training, and anything else to help reach your goals.

Registration & Packet Pickup

1:00-5:30PM

Get your athlete gift, race plate, and answers to your race-day questions. A photo ID is required. Packets must be picked up in person. They will not be given to others. Athlete drop bags (100K only) will be accepted at this time.

6:00-7:30AM

Race day Packet Pickup

Get your athlete gift, race plate, and answers to your race-day questions. A photo ID is required. Packets must be picked up in person. They will not be given to others. Athlete drop bags (100K) will NOT be accepted on race day.

8:00aM

100 K RACE START

Each athlete will self-position at the start line based on ability, with pros up front. 100K riders will start together. Please be honest with your start location as it is a safety measure for all athletes! Space is first-come first-serve. Please do not leave your bike unattended in the start corral. It will be a rolling start as there is a 90 degree turn on the approach to Springfield Rd. Cut-off times will be published prior to start.
